Info-Data at Your Server
When a company wants to expedite the capturing and processing of information from their numerous locations across this country, they rely on Info-Data Services to get the job done. We’ve developed a high speed fax network, which allows the secure receipt of some 10,000 records a day from over 15,000 different locations throughout America.
Allowing for the simultaneous receipt of multiple faxes from multiple locations, the results are immediate; literally seconds after a fax is sent, it is placed into production.
Info-Data’s editors enter information directly into the client’s secure website, further enhancing turnaround by providing shorter processing times. This real-time online data entry and the immediacy of the fax server yield a 50% reduction in time spent capturing and processing information from previous methods.

1,000 Books for Simon & Schuster
Simon & Schuster, one of the world’s largest publishing companies, was looking for an organization that could convert it’s nearly 1,000 volume set of previously published children’s books for use on the internet. After an extensive search through numerous current vendors, Simon & Schuster in New York City found Info-Data Services in North Kansas City, MO at www.info-data-srv.com.
Info-Data replied with interest, supplying Simon & Schuster’s on-line division with examples of their work and numerous references. It was the “many excellent, excellent references” that convinced the publisher, they said.
Simon & Schuster then requested a test of capabilities which Info-Data completed easily. Next, Info-Data developed and recommended a comprehensive set of specifications which were reviewed and approved with minor revisions. At that point, the project began in earnest.
Info-Data completed a complex process of scanning some elements of each book such as the cover and illustrations while keying others like tables and text. Digital photography was required to replicate the “pop-ups.” Each publication had a different set of requirements, but each had to be done in a way that enabled it to move from platform to platform with relative, and exact, ease. At is successful conclusion, the project was married together in Acrobat Adobe PDF files tied to previously developed specifications.
Throughout the project, Simon & Schuster and Info-Data communicated electronically and by phone. From start to finish, no one from either company met anyone from the other.
Nearly 1,000 publications were processed for utilization on the internet in a very short time period. More importantly, Simon & Schuster has recommended Info-Data to other companies including another New York publisher for whom Info-Data recently completed a pilot project to convert thousands of technical manuals and books.
